Performance: The SMH610 is a less expensive version of our SMH510 and is intended for users who cannot (or would prefer not to) have a headband passing over their heads. The unique design offers even better stability than most over-the-head headsets. Particularly when used with the clothing clip on the cable, it is even suitable for use when the wearer is very active. The SMH610 can be worn with a hard hat, helmet or other protective headgear. Once the headset is in place the earspeaker can be flipped in or out, close to the ear or away, and the thin flexible boom can be adjusted to place the microphone in the right position. A flexible band allows the user to make the headband snug, and accommodates a wide range of head sizes. The microphone on this model is a unidirectional dynamic type with a frequency response tapered to reproduce speech clearly. The earspeaker is capable of reproducing very high sound levels, though low frequency response is attenuated.

Durability: The SMH610 has a minimal number of moving parts. Each of the pivot points has been strengthened. The flexible gooseneck bends rather than breaks. Our always-generous repair policy applies to these modestly priced headsets as well.

Value: This headsets represent an outstanding value, costing considerably less than most other major brands of intercom-suitable rear-banded headsets. When long working-life expectations is factored in, the value is even further enhanced.

Compatibility: The SMH610 is compatible with Clear-Com® as well as other, lesser-known, headset communications systems. The standard 4-pin female Neutrik XLR-type connector is included, but we will gladly fit the appropriate plug for any other system at a reasonable cost.
