RSM-2 Remote Sub-Master Station w/Speaker 

Performance: The RSM-2 remote (sub-master) station provides the basic functions of a 2-circuit master station but without the paging, auxiliary input, linking features or power supply. Front panel controls consist of a circuit on/off button for each circuit and a combination signal lamp/signal button for each circuit. Also on the front panel is a high quality loudspeaker and a switch to disable it. The volume control regulates the speaker level and/or the headset level. A jack is provided for connection of either a headset or a gooseneck microphone (both optional). Sidetone can be adjusted through a recessed screwdriver adjust control and a switch is provided for muting the microphone. Like a master station, it can communicate with two separate groups of stations without combining those two groups. The rear panel provides one male and one female XLR-type connector for each circuit, permitting loop-through connections. While it could, in combination with the appropriate power supply, function as an economical master station, it is intended to be used as the control center for a secondary communications group. A typical application would be at a sound mix position where one circuit would be connected to the stage manager’s circuit with the other being connected only to the stage monitor mix position. The RSM-2 is available either rack mounted, as shown, or with side panels incorporating carry handles.

Durability: Like every Production Intercom product, serious attention is given to the ‘survivability’ in conditions where rough handling is inevitable. While nothing is unbreakable, this unit comes as close to that as we can make it.

Value: Sharing common enclosures and basic printed circuit boards with several other products gives us the economies of scale which savings can be passed on to our customers.

Compatibility: The RSM-2 may be used with Clear-Com® and other less well-known unbalanced 200 ohm headset communications systems stations.
