The MSM-2 and MSM-3 are add-on modules to the MS-200. The MSM-2 adds two more circuits , (C & D) while the MSM-3 adds four (C, D, E & F).
Neither the MSM-2 nor the MSM-3 can stand alone.
Connection to the MS-200 is made via a 9-pin D-sub connector on the rear panel. The MSM-2 or MSM-3 derive all their power from the host unit.
Connection to outstations on the new circuits are made through XLR connectors on the rear panel. The MSM-2 provides 4 connections, 2 for each of two circuits. The MSM-3 provides 4 connections, 1 for each of four circuits. The cable used to mate the MSM-2 or MSM-3 to the MS-200 is included.
The new circuits created by adding either of these units will have access to any auxiliary program being input to the MS-200. Program can be removed from the new circuits by a simple internal modification. A switch is available which will link all the circuits on the MSM-2 or MSM-3 to circuit A of the MS-200.
Each new circuit is provided with a circuit on/off push-button and a combination signal light/button. A recessed sidetone control for each pair of circuits permits the level of those circuits heard in the operator’s own earspeaker.
The MSM-2 and MSM-3 can be rack mounted or free standing.
