Performance:The IP 901 Internet/Intercom Interface provides Internet capable devices the ability to become part of your intercom system. Internet capable devices such as laptop computers or smart phones located virtually anywhere in the world can signal, call, and listen to your intercom system as if they were there. Two IP 901’s may be used in a point to point configuration to link to intercom systems over a LAN or WAN.
The IP 901 easily connects to your intercom system with a 3 pin XLR. It connects to the LAN/WAN using CAT5 cable. Software is provided on a USB memory stick, the program may be run directly from the memory stick, or loaded onto the device. The remote computer can select the channel by selecting (on screen) the IP address of the IP 901 connected to that circuit. Where circuit combining (linking) is available in the intercom system, the remote computer would also be linked.
The IP 901 is equipped with intelligent echo cancellation software, and a self balancing DSP, freeing the user from time consuming calibration. The echo cancellation and DSP programs are activated with every new connection. In the event of input level changes during operation, a single “Learn” button on the front panel will activate the balancing program on the DSP. Individual input and output level controls on the front panel, along with a led VU meter, allow for additional balancing of audio sources.
Power may be supplied to the IP 901 either from the intercom 3pin XLR connection, or from an external rack mount power supply (PS-1) when no intercom is present.
Durability:Every Production Intercom product is built with the understanding that it may have to survive the rough usage of the road. The IP 901 Connect is no exception. The cabinet is steel, the internal components firmly mounted and locked, and the connectors (where possible) are Neutrik®.

Compatibility:In addition to Production Intercom, the IP 901 Connect is compatible with Clear-Com®, RTS® (on a single channel, internal selectable) and other similar intercom systems. It is not compatible with Telex Audiocom® at this time.
